I’ve never actually seen Top Gun…

This week each DreamClash employee took the Enneagram personality test. Well, that’s not entirely true. Certain employees couldn’t get into their DreamClash emails this week because someone, who will not be named (ahem…me…), didn’t set the email passwords up correctly. Be that as it may, we took the personality tests to better understand our group dynamics because hey, we’re that kind of company. My job here at DreamClash as lead creative and boss person is multifaceted to say the least but is, in one regard, to recognize the patterns in things, such as, say, why my partner Jon is such an awesome partner, or why Will is such a fantastic catalyst to virtually anything.

It’s pretty clear that, though we greatly resemble a rag tag band of misfits assembled somewhat haphazardly over the course of the past two years, every single person at DreamClash is here for a very specific reason, a purpose to which they are by design, quite suited. Whether it be Grace’s instinctive ability to smooth out bumps in the proverbial road or Lyndsay’s uncanny prowess at speaking with imaginary people that don’t exist, every person is ideally suited to their given tasks.

The Enneagram test results are divided up into types, which are assigned to numbers one through nine, each with a different meaning. I’m an eight with a seven wing, which is called “The Maverick”. I was going to make a Top Gun joke here, but it occurred to me that I’d never actually seen that movie so I opened up IMDB to look for a funny quote. About five minutes later I’ve just decided to be honest with our entire readership (that’s right all four of you) and fess up - I’ve never seen it. Would like too, if that counts for anything. I haven’t seen mission impossible either. So I guess the take away from this post is that Tom Cruise’s early career is vastly under-represented in my movie repertoire and, more importantly, you guys should all be very excited about what DreamClash will be doing this year.

  1. Hey!

Zach here... I scored an 85 for Type 5, "The Investigator". 77 for Type 1, which is "The Reformer". Interesting.

    Thanks for the link!
